Thunderbirds Collectors Letterman Jacket - a real showpiece custom-created by noted aviation artist Michael J. Cooney. This unique designer jacket features detailed US Air Force Thunderbirds embroidered designs on both the front and the back of the jacket. The large back embroidered design features an incredible 180,000 stitches (!) for design detail, and shows the Thunderbirds in their striking vertical delta flying formation design. This back design measures a large 17 inches wide by 13 1/2 inches tall and the vibrant thread colors used are the Thunderbirds jet team colors. Each of the six individual F-16 Falcon jets measures a large 4 1/2 inches long and the detail achieved is absolutely incredible. Other embroidered highlights on the back include the Thunderbirds team name in red script, jet vapors, and the words at top: 'United States Air Force' and at bottom: 'Thunderbirds Air Demonstration Squadron'. On the front left chest is a full 32,000 embroidered stitches showing the Thunderbirds team crest, also with the words: 'Thunderbirds'. This front chest design measures 3.5 inches wide by 4 inches tall and also is in the team colors. The jacket itself is a quality letterman design by Golden Bear of San Francisco and is built of 80% pure boiled virgin wool and 20% nylon in a dark navy blue color with dark navy leather trim on each of the front pockets as well as on one interior left-side pocket. Quilted lining has been added to the interior of the jacket, including the full, leather arms, for warmth and this interior lining is made of 100% acetate and is colored black. Other jacket features include a triple poly banded, stretch-resistant collar, cuffs and waist, and also chip-resistant snap closures at the front. The jacket has full-lenghth leather arms in the same color as the rest of the jacket and pocket trim is dark navy blue. This quality jacket may be drycleaned only by a leather specialist or a drycleaners with leather experience. These are standard adult men's sizes. Quality made in the USA.
