"One of our most popular Thunderbirds depictions was created in oil by Michael J. Cooney. In true patriotic form, the Commander/Leader gives a 'Thumbs Up' as he looks toward the American Flag positioned on the F-16's Heads Up display. Overhead the 6-ship is viewed in a tight wing-tip to canopy Delta Formation. Along the lower portion of the image are accurate silhouettes of the aircraft flown by the squadron since their inception in 1953.
